Be welcome to the GNRC Fourth Assembly in Mexico City!

Since its creation in October 2015, the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics (GNRC) brings together groups and organisations, which provide pastoral care and work for justice for LGBTQI people. The Network strives for inclusion, dignity and equality of this community in the Roman Catholic Church and in the wider civil society. The GNRC held its 1st Assembly in October 2015 in Rome (Italy), the 2nd one was held in November 2017 in Münich (Germany), an the 3th was celebrated in Chicago (USA). To this date, the GNRC represents more than 45 LGBTIQ Catholic groups, confederations and allies communities across all continents.

Now, we’d like to invite you to the GNRC Fourth Assembly to take place in Mexico City, from 10 to 15 September, 2022. This will be an exciting opportunity for sharing our stories and to work hand in hand for progress in the Roman Catholic Church in the famous capital of Mexico. The local hosts for this assembly, the Mexico´s Rainbow Catholics Network – Red de Católicos Arcoíris de México (REDCAM) is very much looking forward to welcome you in Mexico City.

The GNRC Fourth Assembly will take place at the beautiful Convention Centre at Proyecto Cruces (Mexico City).

The exciting programme with key note speakers (such as Fr James Alison), workshops, Mass at the Basilica as well as a variety of social events will be hybrid in nature, so that delegates can attend in person or virtually. This is a Summary Agenda of what expects to our community in September:

Booking Information for the GNRC Fourth Assembly:

You may participate in the GNRC Fourth Assembly under in-person or online format.

In-person Attendants

Participants who will be participating in-person are expected to arrive from Friday 9 September. The programme will run from Saturday morning till Thursday 15 September afternoon (Mexican time). Transport for return journeys to the Airport will be on Thursday 15 September afternoon (Mexican time).

Deadline for early bird bookings for in-person attendance at the Assembly is on Tuesday 31 May at a lower price of 300 € per participant (for Associates of GNRC or an individual member of a GNRC Member Group), and 400€ per participant (for non-members).

Late Registrations will be accepted after 31 May but at the higher price of 400€ per participant (for GNRC Associates and GNRC Member Groups) and 500€ per participant (for non-members).

Online Attendants

Registrations for online participation will be open till 8 September 2022 and will be at 10€ (for GNRC Associates and GNRC Member Groups*) and 15€ (for non-members).

(* This offer is being made to a Member Group as a unit. Each Member Group will pay 10€ and the zoom link can be shared with the individual members of the Member Group).

Financial Support

GNRC will be considering requests for limited financial support for its Associates and individual members of GNRC Member Groups. GNRC will be using part of the Registration money and donations from participants to support some participants to attend in Mexico. Those who require such financial support are requested to fill in the appropriate section in this Registration form and complete this registration form by the end of May 2022. GNRC will be in contact in early June 2022 with more information.

GNRC will try to support a small number of participants subject to availability of funds. More information is provided in the section on financial support in the Registration form.

Those not able to attend because of lack of funds are encouraged to engage as online participants.

You will receive a letter of confirmation in June and payment information in July. You must make the payment by the end of July.
