“This, brothers and sisters, is what I would like to be our first great desire: a united Church, a sign of unity and communion, becoming leaven for a reconciled world. In our time, we still see too much discord, too many wounds caused by hatred, violence, prejudice, by fear of those who are different, by an economic model that exploits the Earth’s resources and marginalizes the poor. And we want to be, within this dough, a small leaven of unity, communion, and fraternity.”

These words invite us to be part of something that heals rather than divides. An important starting point.

Many raise their voices against exclusion and fear. I found in the Pope’s words a direction that feels rooted in the Gospel and open to the future. A beautiful homily from the Pope today indeed. May it guide the Church in its journey ahead. 🙏🏻
