Pope Francis has said: “God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy.” For many LGBTIQ people, shame and fear have made approaching God feel impossible. But God remains, waiting. Our faith communities must spread the good word, that welcome is for everyone, so no one believes they are too far gone for grace.
