Tomorrow, May 7, 2025, the College of Cardinals will begin the conclave to elect the next pope, following the death of Pope Francis on April 21. This conclave is notable for its diversity, with 133 electors representing 71 countries, reflecting the global nature of the Church today. In parallel, the Church is entering the next phase of the Synodal process, with a new three-year implementation cycle approved by Francis in March. This cycle will culminate in a Vatican assembly in 2028 to assess changes in Church life.

This double transition of leadership and structure, directly concerns Catholic groups working on inclusion, dialogue, and pastoral accompaniment.

We have presented pastoral experiences, proposals, and testimonies from LGBTIQ Catholics, families, and pastoral workers. We have dialogued with priests, bishops, religious sisters, and the pope himself, connecting grassroots realities and voices across regions. We have offered spaces for prayer, produced books, and sustained presence—all to support a long-term change shaped by dialogue, hope, and faithful commitment. This efforts borought precious results, that affected lives.

As the Church prepares for a structural changes, the role of groups like GNRC is operational, and being ready for the future, adapt, is important. To find the road that works.

GNRC will hold its global assembly in the coming months. There, we will assess how to act in the new shape of the Church.

We invite advocacy groups, pastoral workers, theologians, and Church leaders to join this reflection. The next few years will test the Church’s capacity to include, to listen, and to evolve. We are ready to walk together. But not unprepared.

GNRC is currently looking for donors, mission investors, and institutional partners who understand that change in the Church takes time, presence, and coordination. With more resources, we can support national hubs in Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe; offer formation paths for pastoral leaders; and produce accessible materials in more languages and formats.

To dialogue with the Church, good will is not enough. It takes method, continuity, and trust built over time. We have laid foundations that work. With your support, we can take them further. https://rainbowcatholics.org/donate-to-gnrc/
